Gremlins?
I'm new to the forum and hope I'm posting in the proper place.
I purchased a 2010 Ram 1500 Quad Cab in May of 2010. Recently (over the past couple of months) I've gone out in the morning to find my front windows down with the doors still locked. I found them down about 5 inches just a few minutes ago. There is nobody in the house but the wife and I. We have the only keys.
I suspect a malfunctioning relay or a glitch in the BCM.
Anyone else with a similar problem? There are no TSBs addressing this.
Any opinions or ideas are welcome.
Thank You.

Make sure you & wife leaves your remote key fobs out of your pockets, one of you might be activating it and not knowing it.
It dosent take much to hold down the unlock button twice and roll the windows down if its in your pocket/wifes pocketbook.
Rule out the most obvious first before you go back to the stealership with a simple remedy by doing some prior investigating.

The doors windows could be open and doors locked if you accidentally pushed the unlock button twice, held it down, then pushed the lock button. Remember, these are random button presses due to having the fob in pocket or purse. I got some of that foam insulation like you put on water pipes and cut off a chunk long enough to cover the buttons; when I have to have the fob in my pocket I put a piece of that insulation over the buttons on the fob and have never had a problem since with random button presses. It takes up a bit more room in your pocket but is worth it for the peace of mind knowing your truck is not sitting outside with its windows down with some unsavory character going through it looking for valuables.

This kinda relates. We were having the same problem with the wife's Honda. It was random button pushing with us.

You are all correct. I dragged out the owner's manual after the first response. I didn't know about the automatic window function until it was suggested and I read up on it. I have shortened the "hanger" on my belt loop and no longer sit on the fob. I feel like an idiot but appreciate the education from you all. Thank You.
Nice to see its an easy fix Centexshooter, and you were ready to change out the BCM hehe.
Dumb question, do all power windows equipped trucks have the automatic window function? cause if thats the case i went 2 years without knowing i had that. Will try when i get to my truck sometime.
