Default SERV 4WD and no coolant temp reading?

I'm currently working up north and drove my truck up so i could bring my snowmobile. Anyways i decided to start the truck up after it sitting in the cold for almost a week. My battery was dead but i kinda knew it might be (because i previously forgot a light on inside my enclosed trailer draining my battery, but charged it and ran the truck for a bit). I charged the battery for a bit then started the truck. I took off for a ride to let her know i didnt forget her , and the SERV 4WD display came on and then noticed my temp reading on the computer said nothing --- and as well as the needle coolant gauge was at 0? Turned the truck off and started it again all went away but havent drove it much more.

What's up with that?

My guess would be that the electronics are acting up due to low voltage from the battery. Get the battery charged back up to full capacity and I bet everything goes back to normal and stays that way.

How did you make out with this issue? I just had this happen to my 2009 1500 SLT. Cost me over $400 for a $5 part. It came down to the coolant temp sensor being bad. But with the labor and three different trips to the dealer I was not a happy camper. Magically this all occurs after my warranty runs out. The symptoms you brought up were mine to a T.

Everything was fine after that. I drove the truck 2 hours to a dealership to check out a torque converter problem i was having and everything was fine. Im just thinking cause the battery went dead the computer was pulling a lil fit.

And im getting a new torque converter as the other was poochos
