etc and traction control lights and linp mode

etc and traction control lights and linp mode
I am having both lights coming on and it runs rough for a couple of seconds and then it will settle to regular idle. Both lights stay lit and the truck will run but in limp mode.
What happened? Any ideas to correct this with out having get it towed to the dealership?
its a Ram 5.7 hemi R/T 2011 with 2300 miles.
