Changed muffler Magnaflow 14" to Magnaflow 22"
I had the 18" magnaflow too and it was too much noise for me. I have the 2009 Laramie crew cab with factory duals. Had it removed and replaced with the 24" magnaflow. Much happier, wish I would have bought the 24" the 1st time and saved some money. I still have the 18" with about 150 miles on it if anyone is interested. $45 includes shipping to lower 48...
I have a single in single out 09. I bought a Borla single in single out muffler and had the local muffler guy install it. All together cost me about $110 total. I love it! Loud at wot but almost factory sounding when not on it. I went back and forth on whether I should switch to single in dual out, but decided to keep it single out to save money, and I don't think I would do it any different today.
I have a friend that got the exact same muffler except it has the dual out, because he has factory duals. Sound wise it is identical to mine, but his has the dual out look, so if sound is all you are after I would keep it single out.

I just installed the 18" and though there is a little drone its not distracting to the point of wanting to change it out. Though I wouldnt ever go any smaller than 18".
Dropped in a K&N airfilter also and after a week to calculations getting 3.4 milees more per gallon.
How about you 24" guys? any big difference in MPG? curious

I have an 09 CC single in and single out, how did your mileage change if any? Did you just change the muffler or the entire exhaust system? And did you leave or take out the resonator? What is the part number of the system you got? What I’m looking for is sound and some power but without the drone.
My mileage didn't change at all. If anything it got a little worse because I'm flooring it more now
i dont know how you guys are claiming no drone, mine was so constant, i even went and dynamated the doors, and parts of the floor. I love exhaust around the city, but with as much up and down 95 traveling as I do, i dont know if i'll ever swap exhaust again

. I just changed the muffler. The muffler is a lot smaller than the stock one so there had to be an extension pipe welded in to make up the difference, and I went with stainless for that to match the rest of the system. I left the resonator in. It's the Borla ProXS 40359. I will say that there is some drone when the MDS kicks in, and it's more noticeable than stock, but it's worth it in my opinion.
Thanks for the info.
