Oil Change Intervals
We drive our truck somewhat hard but the truck is never loaded with anything more than a few passengers and 500-1000lbs of stuff in the bed (and that's only once in a while - probably once per oil change), and even then 90% of the miles on the truck are long trips on the highway (which is extremely easy on oil).
Despite that, we run a Castrol GTX Synthetic Blend in 6000 mile intervals no matter what the truck's EVIC says. Once it told us to change the oil after 2400 miles which was ridiculous because we literally just did six 400 mile trips, which was just dumb. The engine sat at 2000RPM's for 5 hours. That doesn't warrant an oil change that quickly.
The manual says 6000 mile intervals on regular oil so I figure 6000 on blend is more than playing it safe.

Only time I have had mine say change at 2400 or so miles was brand new.First one. Then after a FLASH update to address engine and trans performance. I think it reset the oil change interval to like when it was new. Service advisor at the dealer I have used says 90% of new trucks the EVIC says change oil now between 2400 and 2600 miles.
