Default Power Tuner, MDS 4 & 8...Disable ?

Just traded in My 04 ram Hemi for a 2011....love it but not to keen on this 8 and 4 cyl BS. if you turn radio off you can notice the engine runs a little rough ( very slight ) when ECO light comes on and kicks down to 4cyl.... any one else notice this. Just wondering if you can disable the 4cyl mode with the power tuners??

IIRC, Just put your gear selector in 5 instead of D and it wont go into MDS. Or select Tow/Haul mode also wont go into MDS.

MDS is the only thing I do not like about my truck. Been running a tune with it disabled for about a year and a half now and it is a very noticeable performance difference the two times I flashed back to stock for dealer recall visits.

Also i'm pretty sure MDS can only disable 2 cylinders. Kicking it down to 6. Unless i'm mistaken?

Thought I had read several times that MDS kills 4 cylinders. Once a vehicle is up to speed it dosen;t take many horses to maintain it. Sure once your really tuned into it you can tell it every slow slighly. There's been many posters with stock exhaust that say they can't tell if it wasn't for the fuel saver light. I sure couldn't until I swapped mufflers. I drove me around with MDS off a few times and finally came to the conclusion of WHY turn it. Now towing my fifth wheel I'm always in tow/haul which cancels MDS.

It's in almost all Dodge nomenclature - 4 cyl
