Powertrain

The 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 with Fuel Saver Technology isn' t just strong, it's also remarkably efficient[1]. It gives the Ram 1500 up to 10,450 pounds of towing capacity[2]. It also becomes a fuel-sipping four-cylinder when the conditions are right.[1]
  • Multi-Displacement System (MDS) seamlessly deactivates half of the engine's cylinders in fuel saver mode when less power is needed.
  • Variable Valve Timing (VVT) delivers increased torque and efficiency.
From here: http://www.ramtrucks.com/en/2011/ram...ty/powertrain/

there are many other references, also.

The only time 2 have ever been mentioned was someone asking if 2 or 4. I knew it was 4 just don't know where to find it in print and thats usually asked.

Yeah i guess you guys missed this entire thread worth of discussion where we've already found that out.

Simply adding 'mistaken lol!' is both redundant and unrelated to the OP's post.
