[QUOTE=roberttheall;2445066](I did the same upgrade so this is how I did it) For the front door speakers, remove plastic cover near foot well next to door area, you will see a bundle of wires, the speaker wires are here too. find the correct colors they will be twisted to gether, not too hard to find, just cut away some of the tape around the bundle, cut the correct wires and splice in with new speaker wire and run to your new amp. For the rear doors remove the lower plastic cover on the pillars between the front and rear doors, there you will see another bundle of wires where you can find the speaker wires. the color codes are as follows;
Left Front door: + GY/VT -GY/YL
Left Rear door: +GY/LG -GY/DG

I replaced the HU with a Pioneer Avic Z120BT., but nothing should stop working, as long as you only cut the speaker wires.
Note: if you ever decide to replace your HU, you should unplug the factory bluetooth device. I had trouble connecting my phone to my new HU, because my phone was still trying to connect to the factory blue tooth device, even though I had already removed the RER radio. I did not realize it was located seperate from the RER radio. the factory blue tooth is mounted in the inside the dash near the glove box, there is a plastic cover at the end of the dash when you open the front passenger side door, to get to it.

It was just easier to run everything from scratch.
Put the amps under the rear seat and ran new speaker wires from there. Ran all the wires from the new head unit back to the amps & ran a new power direct up to the battery (for the amps).
I screwed around with JL converters, etc trying to mesh the old system into the new and it just felt like a waste of time. The big PITA is going from the posts into the doors with new wires. Other than that there is a lot of room to get around.
