I have 1 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, 5.7 Hemi, I need to find the correct fise to disable the "Remote Starter", in order to install a Hypertec Max Energy Power Progammer. Can U help me determine which one it is?
Yes, usually instructions when installing some type of electrical stuff say to disconnect the negative battery cable and that is because of air bags, If you have and older mygig radio you should remove the fuse for the radio. Hey do you know all the fuses are under the hood and near the battery but closer to the front of the truck you will see a black box, take off the lid and read it and see if there is a number corresponding to remote start...never know. Then you will know otherwise neg bat cable
Thanks to all. I found out some have switches in front of the radiator, mine did not, so mechanic at dealership said to pull the T-12 fuse (40amp), which will disconnect the starter.
So.... Why is a user named "Trooper" (are you a cop?) want to make their truck have a little more get up and go? There are laws you know
Now that the fun is out of the way... Why did you choose this hypertech deal? Have not heard any 4th gen guys using it. Is it a plug in deal or a programmer?
I am a "Retired" Pa. State Trooper since, 1995, and I do have a "heavy" foot, if the truth be known. The Hypertech Max Energy is a progammer. Doing one thing at a time to increase the fuel economy.
