Phone App
So i'm watching the ncaa tournament the other night and see two commercials where you can unlock and remote start your rig from your phone. That would be sweet to get rid of these damn 09 key fobs that don't work worth a ****!!
I'm unaware of Chrysler offering something like that, but you can do the same thing with a Viper system. I think it costs an extra $30.00 a year for the 3G data that you'll be using and you have to have an Android or iPhone.
Yeah I've seen the onstar app. I'm not sure if it costs anything, but you can start your truck and I think lock and unlock your doors. I'm sure there are more features. Seems cool, but I don't have onstar.
I just installed that system this weekend in my 2010 sport. Its called Drone by Compustar Its pretty sweet I had my keys in my pocket and my hands where full but I did have my phone in one hand so I was able to start my truck and open the doors all with my iPhone!! Love it!!

Now they just need to make something for the blackberry.
Give it another year and i bet they'll have some crazy gadgets like that. It's gonna open up to another world of hacking and stealing.
But it would be cool to talk to your phone to start the truck. Since to remote start my truck i almost have to be beside it, might as well start it myself.

I just checked it out sounds interesting for sure.
This is what someone wrote down as a review, but he might of had an old ford taurus. Might be different with newer vehicles.
Well first off for those that don't know, you need a compustar alarm system installed, and then you need to add a $300 module (which uses at&t's crappy network) to make this work. Which is fine, their alarms rock. But, for $300 for the module and $30-$300/year, I thought the bugs would have been worked out by now. But no. I've had it for quite sometime now and have only had a few successful uses out of it. There's always either a connection error or a log-in error for whatever reason. But, once the bugs are gone, this could be a 4-5 star system. Def. Recommend trying it. G/l everyone.
