I also had a dodge caravan (with the A604 trans) that went thru 4 transmissions.
And now i`ve owned, 2 brand new 2010 hemi QC 4x4 with all kinds of issues. (trans, chassis, bodyparts)
Dodge hasnt built a decent transmission since the 727 torqueflite.
Dodge should also stay out of the electronic technology, they suck at it.
It seems if it wasnt for bad luck, i wouldnt have any luck at all...lol.
Now you can get some of the picture why i`m done with dodge products.
The only dodge i will keep is my 70 T/A Challenger, that car has been flawless from day one.

With all the tranny problems you've had, maybe you drive them too hard or something. That seems awfuly suspecious to me. Are people scared to ride with you? When you carpool, do other people insist on driving? These could be clues...lol

"Beat on" and "baby" are all subjective terms.

One person "babying" his truck can be another person "beating on" it.

So honestly, I can't really go off what you are saying in reference to how you drive your truck.

All I know is that my dad and I drive our 09 Ram like idiots. Constant full throttle pulls which include downshifts to 1st and 2nd gear and then suddenly letting off and getting back on the throttle. Everything a transmission would hate. We drove our 2002 Ram the same way. Never a tranny problem on the 02. Not a tranny problem on the 09.

Also, your tires are probably worn out due to the increased friction caused by the bad bearings. You should try to get them to give you new tires under warranty (or at least help pitch in). The way you complain about the tires wearing out quickly is as if that indicates that the truck is crappy. If the truck ate through any tire you put on it, then ok, probably. But if you take 10 seconds to read a few tire threads you'll realize it's the stock tires sucking that makes them, well, suck. Nothing that's the truck's fault.

Also, not to be a jerk, but it's really hard to take you too seriously about being some sort of car expert when you typo a bunch of words. For example: "pour" (poor), "computor" (computer).

Honestly the 4th gen Ram is a heck of a truck, and I personally think you are giving up on it far too quickly.

The old truck was a lemon, it happens. But two bad wheel bearings on a truck doesn't mean it's a POS truck. Of all the thousands of parts that make up a truck, which are produced in such quantity, it's a little much to think that your truck is going to be perfect and be built of entirely perfect parts. Stuff happens. That's what warranties are for.

Had a 96 ram with the small block. Also went through 3 tranny's in 56K. I did not tow, carry heavy loads, or abuse the truck. Mid 90's Dodge put out bad transmissions.

I'm convinced some people just have bad Karma with certain brands.

My entire family was Furd people. My old man had nothing but Furds from before the time I was born up until he bought his current truck ('01 Ram 2500) and that was only because he fell in love with the look of my '98 2nd Gen Ram. He NEVER had an issue with a Furd truck and my grandfather would rather walk than get caught in a Dodge or GM truck. Again, like my pop, he never a major problem with a Furd truck in 50+ years of owning them.

The second, third and forth trucks I ever owned were Furd 4x4s. An '85 F150, a '91 F250 PowerStroke and a '97 F150. The two F150s were bought new. The '85 F150 4.9L had heater core and rust issues from hell and was rotting away at 4 years old, the diesel was good as far as powertrain, but I couldn't keep front end components working on the damn thing and the '97 had a cylinder fail (dropped piston) at 14k miles.

I finally took the hint. My '98 Ram and '04 Ram have been about as problem free as a vehicle could be. I traded the '98 in at 68k miles, no plenum issue, perfect tranny, dash stayed in mint condition. Only complaint I had with the truck at all was the 8 mpg city and 11 highway with 35" tires.

I also come from a Ford family which just means I know all of the problems they have, which is why I laughed a bit when HammerZ71 mentioned the front end issues with his Ford. as a matter of fact my brother just had to rebuild the front end of his 02 F350 for the second time in 4 years and it hasn't hit 150K miles now thats built Ford tough. A good friend of mine just had the front and rear axles crap out in his Chevy 1500 with less than 120K miles now it sits like a rock in his yard! I have owned Ford's Chevy's and Dodge's and by far my Dodge's have been the best of them all. I had a 01 Ram 1500 4WD that I beat the snot out of towing, 4 wheeling and then there was the daily back and fourth to work beating Mind you I did perform good preventive maintenance at all of the proper time/mileage intervals which I believe is the key making anything last. But by far my Dodge's (even the wifes Grand Caravan) have proven to be tough as nails and I would not think twice about buying another one.

LOL!!!

After all that, you spelled "thank you" wrong (it's 2 words, you wrote it as one), and you spelled grief wrong (you wrote "greif").

Sorry. Still can't take you seriously.
