Default Tire Rotation

this might be a stupid question, but maybe someone can answer it for me anyway.

If I rotate my tires and wheels will the tpms still read correctly?
Im wondering if the sensors are programed for specific locations or if the computer knows if they've been moved.

thanks

I'm fairly certain that the receivers for those senders are close to each individual wheels. So the truck knows which axle they are placed on.

Definately NOT a stupid question...! I`ve never give this a thought until you mentioned it. Excellent question...!!!!
My truck goes in to the stealership monday for oil change and rotate.
I`ll offset each of the tire pressures and see what the TPMS reads after that.
I`m not doughting Phil, because i think he might be right.
I will post my results tomorrow night when i get home from work (12pm)

No problem with my wifes 09. I'm fixing to rotate my 2010 but it reads all the tires on the evac so I don't know how that will go. I don't think it will be a problem.

Your sensors will be fine. I've rotated my tires and there are no issues. The rx'ers are on right there on the wheel hubs.

I have rotated my tires. Chryslers tpms automatically recalibrates unlike gm which requires the sytem to be reprogrammed at the customers expense. Your evic display will flash and your tpms light will come on initially but after several miles of driving the system will complete it's recalibration and the light will go off and the sensor will read the correct psi for each tire

Our 09 doesn't display the pressure for each tire. It mentions nothing unless it can't read a sensor or if one tire is too low, then it lights up and a warning comes up on the EVIC.

Am I able to get the truck to read each tire and tell us with a flash or something?

I could be wrong but I think thats a diff between 09 and 10 trucks. Think I have seen that here on the forum before.

True story. That is one of the many different things between 2009 and 2010 including the back up sensors and their notifications, backup sounds, seat controls, a few moot items...

Just rotated my tires a few weeks back and the TPMS registered the tire change about five minutes after first key-on.
