Default Need new radiator after only 2k miles!!

The radiator on my 2011 3500 dually started leaking so I brought it to the dealer yesterday, they did a pressure test and said it needs to be replaced. I am starting to question my decision to go with a Dodge, but hopefully this is just a fluke. Just seems hard to believe after only 2,000 miles!!

I agree. Although they aren't the best quality I have ever seen, I never see a failed radiator in a Ram much before 100k miles. My guess is a bad weld out of the factory. You shouldn't have any problems after they replace it...

Been watching this forum for almost 2 years, first radiator post I've seen. Just a fluke hopefully.

Bought a 1992 chevy truck new off the lot nad had a pinhole leak in the radiator about 6 days later. It was just a fluke and the dealer fixed it on the spot by replacing the radiator. It happens, just not too often.

I had a leak in mine where the hose connect at the bottom of the tranny rad. I had to add fluid at one point but never seen it leaking there, it was a slow one. I went to a tranny shop to change the oil and the guy spotted it right away and fixed it. But in a few weeks i will be getting my factory "HD tranny" (which is a joke) to something like 3 times bigger and 3 times more efficient. I didnt like the temps i seen towing last summer so ill see how this rad will work, for about 300$

Yeah I woudn't worry about your radiator. Makes me wonder if maybe you caught some debris or something. Did they show you the leak? Where was it at?

Thanks for all the input guys. Turned out to be a puncture most likely from road debris. I feel better now.
