Default Level or lift

So I have always wanted my ride to be a bit higher. I Like the "lifted" look. I want to get a 2-3 inch lift but what is the cheapest option and where would I get a job like this preformed? I don't want to do it myself because I don't have most of the equpment.

I was planning on buying the "lift" equipment and taking it for someone to install it.

What are the pros and cons of each leveling and lifting?
Does anyone have and pictures of lifted, White Rams?

Thanks

You took the words (questions) right out of my mouth. I am wondering the same thing, the cheapest way to lift my truck and get a little bigger tire. Thanks and i look forward to some replies.

leveling= front end up only, gets rid of the rake (end being down, helping out handling/stability). if you load your bed, your rear ends going to sit even lower

lift= front and rear both go up

personally, ive never believed in raising the front without doing the same to the rear. I use my truck for construction, so having the rear end sitting super low compared to the front is stupid and dangerous, and I also dont want to lose the rake for driving purposes. the problem is the new 1500's you cant just throw blocks or add-a-leafs on to easily match the front. I'm a 2500 so I cant say much but there are plenty of guys on here with both leveled and lifted 1500s who will throw their 2 cents in

You can search my old posts and get an idea. Never had a problem leveled, and you can do it yourself in the driveway with basic handtools.

I have the Mopar 2.5 inch leveling kit with a 3/4" spacer and Airlift airbags in the rear. The rear setup is great, however after 17,000 miles I seem to be developing the vibration up front like everyone has been talking about. If you just want tire size then do a body lift and do not worry about any suspension problems. If you want a suspension lift then find a good company that sells a 2.5 inch lift like Kore or another company. No matter what you are going to get what you pau for, buy cheap and you'll get cheap. Just be careful what you get and do a lot of research. I wouls also call the company and see how much sucess they are having with there kits, call some local dealers and see which kits are getting installed and what kind of problems they are having. Good luck with your decision. I need to figure out what is going on with my truck and then figure out what I am going to do. If I have a problem then I am probably going to go back to stock to get my mpg back.
