After 2 weeks of ownership..Console? Dodge? UConnect? Voice command?
So I've had the truck(ordered a 2011 Laramie 2500 CC) for two weeks or so, only 200 miles so far, and I love it! Has all the options my 06 1500 didn't, much improved interior, radio (or Media center) is no comparison, rides great, sunroof, towing capacity, I could go on forever...
But does anyone know why there is a groove in the console under the first storage compartment (with the buckets anyway) seems like for a wire to go to the charger in the upper console storage, but it doesn't connect through? Weird.
And everything I have, owner's manual, paperwork, insignia says RAM, no Dodge mentioned, except for the Dodge in the little storage tray over the radio? Are these separate Ram brand or Dodge still?
UConnect manual (I called and got manuals sent to me) doesn't seem to apply to the RHR radio, and the RHR manual doesn't say much on the phone/SMS set up. The menus are off, options missing etc... Can't seem to get my Droid 2 to work with SMS. Anyone have this setup?
The voice command is great, seems to recognize everything. Maybe a peeve or nitpicking, but wouldn't it have been nice to have a button on the steering wheel to start the voice command? Seems silly to have to push the radio everytime for voice start, navigate menus, etc.., when the point is to use voice vs. buttons or dials.
