Default Dodge Forum Noob, My Truck, Need Advice!

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I recently bought a 2011 Ram 1500 4x4 Sport Crew Cab. I have been researching around the forums for a leveling kit and have decided on the hell bent steel 2.5" leveling kit. Here's the deal, I've got a guy at the local tire shop that says he will do an even trade with me: my stock tires and 20s for a set of black 17x9 wheels and some 33x12.5017 nitto trail grapplers. Can this model truck even run a 17" wheel? If so, does anything think this will look okay? He said they have -12mm offset so they will stick out a little bit, which is what I want. Anyone running a setup close to this? I've tried searching but no matter what I search for it says no matches :/ Thanks guys, looking forward to getting involved in the forum.

Certain RAM models come with 17x8" wheels stock with 265/70R17 tires. Those tires are roughly 31.5x10.5. I have no idea if 33x12.5 tires would fit or cause issues.

Yes you can run 17's on your truck. The problem is going to be weather or not the offset is enough to keep the tires from rubbing. If not, it can be fixed by a simple wheel spacer. It sounds like a decent deal to me. Wheel spacers aren't very expensive either.
