Default Headlight alignment question

Today I took the HID projectors out of my truck (not happy at all with the performance) and swapped a set of HID's into the stock housings. Before I removed the headlights I turned them on in the garage and marked the wall where the top of the beams hit so I could rough guess where the HID's should be hitting in the event they didn't line up same as the stock bulbs.

Both of them needed adjustment a hair (one up, one down) but I'm confident I got the beams back where they need to be. But strangely, when I hit the high beams one of them is much higher than the other. Now I didn't check the high beams before I swapped out the low beams for the HID's so it's possible that one was always off for some reason, but either way it just seems odd.

Does anyone know if there's a separate adjustment for the brights? I guess it's not a big deal sine nobody should be facing them, but it's just odd that one is so far off when the low beams are both hitting the same spots.

No separate adjustment, but if the bulb is not seated correctly in the housing it will change the aim. For instance, if one of the tabs on the bulb didn't seat all the way into the 'grooves' before you turned the bulb tight it will be misaligned.
