Reset questions...
I have two questions;
First, yesterday I went to the garage and the mechanic forgot to reset the oil change light and now I'm out of the area. Anyone know an easy way to reset it?
Second: I just installed after market rims and tires and not the tire pressure light message won't stop lighting up everytime I start the truck. I'm not interested in buyIng $400 gadget to put on the new rims but was wandering if it could be deactivated?
Thanks

The oil is easy, turn on the key (don't start the engine) wait for the warning lights to off,(some will stay on.. eng oil ect) push the gas peddle to the floor 3 times in 10 seconds and your done.

When then installed your new rims did they either move the pressure sensors from your stock rims or install new ones? If so, there is probably just some re-learning procedure that needs to be done. If not, nothing is going to remove the light except getting sensors installed.

Nope didn't install sensors and now I got rid of the stock rims and no more sensors so basically out of luck...

You can still install the sensors, any tire shop will do it. That would be my choice. Other wise you're going to have the TPMS chime every time you start your truck. Plus it's just nice to have. Might cost you around $100 or so, but I think it'd be worth it.
I've heard of people buying them aftermarket, but if you just went to a tire shop they would probably have them. After I got to thinking about it, you'd probably have to get your tires rebalanced afterwards so it will probably be more than $100 with the sensors and the remount and balance. It can't be that expensive though.
