Default Weak Headlights?

So I purchased a 2009 Ram 1500 quad cab. I love the truck so far, except for one thing, the headlights! The lights are VERY dim, even the brights are not much better. I am just wondering if this is an issue that only I am having, or if all these Ram's have really weak headlights? If it is a common problem, or even if it is not, is there anything I can do to make them brighter? Brighter bulbs or something?
Thanks

I have an 09 RAM as well and thought the same thing....Under the the 4th Gen RAM General Discussions there's a thread called HID Special, check it out. I am placing an order with them here shortly for some new HID's so they'll be brighter..

My headlights suck too, I always turn on the fog lights, it helps a bit.

I adjusted my headlights and they work 80% better. They were horrible until I adjusted them.

+1

Mine came pointed at the ground, little adjustment and they are way better. Stock driving lights on these help a lot as well.

Is there an easy way to adjust them (like in front of a garage door) or do you just turn a screw and take it for a drive and see how it looks?

I just did it on my garage wall, put a piece of masking tape on the bottom edge of the beam and adjusted them up a couple inches. I thunk they point them down so they dont blind people when you are loaded down or towing and back end goes down.

Pulleyman, there's 2 types of headlights for that year...which do you have? I have an 09 as well with the cheaper stock lights that have the turn signal on the bottom. The "quad" headlights are supposed to be brighter. They're the ones with the turn signal in the middle aft.

Been that way for years. I installed Sylania bulbs in my '98 2nd Gen before it was three months old, installed Sylvania Ultras in my '04 3rd Gen before it was a month old. Not HID bright by any means, but 1000 percent better than the sh*t stock bulbs...
