Guess I'll have to re-evaluate.

That's true, but then I'd still be looking to pay $200 -$250 for another key, this way I get 2 additonal keys, and no extra control for the alarm like my wife has. The Dodge key and all the others I have are PITA enough to deal with.

Yep! I started to bust on you but thought better of it. Well I guess I did with that "should have bought a Ford" comment. I hope you're enjoying your new truck.

I picked up the truck yesterday. They only charged me $140 for labor, so all totalled it was $375 for everything.

When I went to the cashier to pay and pick up the keys, they only had to two that came with remote start. I asked about my original key, and the lady told me I couldn't use it as it would "deactivate" the 2 new ones. Huh? So when I went out to the service area, I asked the manager. He called out the mechanic that had done the job. He said they normally didn't give the original key back, but that if I just wanted it as a spare, give him a couple minutes to program it. So, 5 minutes later they brought the truck around and I now have 3 keys and remote start.

On another note, I asked about the emergency key that's inside the fob. They charge $30 each for those, without cutting. Guess I'll be looking for some of those now.

Yeppers, they were gonna resell those original keys to someone else. Did they do both of your original key fobs? Those original emergency keys are still good. They work on the doors.
