Default 2010 Ram TRX4 - 4WD-LO problem

Aside from recent bumper paint issues, now when I select 4WD-LO, it just continuously flashes and does not engage. I tried parked, rolling slowly (under 5mph) still just flashes.

?

I might not be of much help but I had the same problem in my dakota. Took it to the dealer and they replaced a solenoid in my transfer case and it fixed the problem.

Thanks. This truck is only 7 months old, never taken off-road and only has 23,000kms!

Did you put the shifter (not ****) into Neutral (not park) like the book says?

This was my first thought when I read the OP. To shift in to 4WD-LO you must be in Neutral, the one between reverse and drive. Not the Neutral on the transfer case, that serves another purpose.

My book only says I can go from 2WD to either 4wd modes either in park or rolling. The speed restriction for 4WD-Lo is under 5mph. I've tried in neutral both on txfer case (button) as well as on shifer. Always flashing.

It is only 4WD LO that you have to be at standstill or rolling at less then 5mph.... Normal 4WD or 4WD auto can be engaged while driving at low speeds.

I had the same issue (flashing 4x4 low) until I reread the op man carefully. I was turning the 4x4 **** to N instead of moving shifter to N. Once I did that, it worked. But I am always stopped when I go from 4x4 to 4x4 low.
