its all good! the dimmer wheel will click on full bright and stay, truck has auto lights so never mess with it, went through guard gate at work in early morning darkness and obeyed the "please dim lights", i just turned park lights on and must have spun the dimmer wheel at same time, spent all day worrying for nothing!!! lol thanks for the replys!!
