Default battery have a separate warranty?

today on way to work noticed dash lights are dim, turned off headlights and dash lights got a lot brighter . Does the battery have a separate warranty, ( like the tires) or is it just basic 3/12 warranty on truck? just wondering, even a cheap walmart battery has a 3 year warranty, gauges looked normal, would a message pop up if alternator was out? Im thinking alternator would keep lights bright once it was running right? so maybe the alternator

Used to was, they would include a little booklet for the battery just like they do with the tires, but I don't recall seeing one in either of the last two vehicles I purchased new. These batteries both have a Mopar label on them so it's possible not being a 3rd party battery that they are part of the initial bumper to bumper warranty.
I'd give the dealer a quick call, might be they'll check the alternator for you as well...

That's probably it, because what you described sounds pretty normal to me when the headlights are turned on/off and not like a battery issue. If the battery were that dead that it was affecting interior lights you would definitely have noticed the sluggishness while starting the engine. Either that or your alternator is crapping out.

My last truck was a Ford F150; purchsed in April of 1996.
The original Motorcraft battery was still working in December of 2009 and AFAIK is still being used in a race car.
You can't beat performance like that!

You must live in a very mild place, with few high or low temperature extremes.

For several decades all the car lines I handled, battery's were covered under the basic warranty be it 24/24 or 3/36 no pro rate and not by separate party. Now I 'm told some are pro rated after a certain time frame. Sounds on the cheap to me.(manufactures)

I live in Thunder Bay Canada. It doesn't get that hot (80 or 90) but gets REALLY cold; (-10 to -40F) during the winter.

Pretty impressive battery then. Usually high heat or extreme cold is what eventually does a battery in.
