Default Went in for service today. Yikes.

Ok so I got there for my State inspection sticker appointment. I also asked for the RRT for the rear spoiler. I also asked to have them check the warping bed rail covers. I also asked to have them check the front end as I noticed there was something banging or bumping under the front end of the truck. And finally I asked to have them look at the Mopar steps that were peeling.

So.
Passed the State inspection.
Had the rear tailgate cover/cap/spoiler thing removed and new one put on.
They took pics of the bed rail covers and told me they needed approval. I told them to go check out every truck in the lot and you could see there was no warping. Anyway. That is in process.
The banging was the outer left tie rod was almost falling off. Now they did replace it under warranty. But they would only pay for the toe check, I had to pay the balance of the front end alignment. $39.00.
I never got an alignment when I had the new tires put on so no big deal there.
Finally, because the steps were put on by the dealer it was covered under the 3/36. (I have 34663 on the truck now.) They are ordering those for me and will have them put on when they get them in.
I also got to test drive a new Challenger R/T. My next car.

Oh yeah. While talking about the chrome step bars, the guy suggested if they look bad again in a few years to have them sprayed at a spray in bed liner place. I gave him a bit o da stink eye and he left it at that. LOL. Noticed that they do sell black steps. I asked if I could switch to those but he said they had to replace what was there. WTF what is the difference. They are the same price. Hmmm?
Oh well. That was my second trip to service with this truck in 35000 miles.

I went for an oil change and inspection in New Brunswick Canada today. Truck (09 Ram) has 85 000km (~52000miles) and here is what I came out with (I failed by the way)

- Need 4 new rotors
- Brake pads all around
- At LEAST 2 new calipers....front ones arent going back in
- 2 inner tie rods
- 2 outer tie rods
- Burnt 3rd brake light
- Inspection
- Alignment

We do yearly inspections and all that needs to be done since June of last year........... Not very happy at the moment

You have big tires and a lift? The brakes seem odd, I pulled the pads off mine at 46K and they were only 1/4 of the way gone.

On the brake light, make sure the seal is good around the lens. I lost 2 bulbs before I figured out that there was a little water getting in there.

I can second this notion. Brakes are still healthy and as for the 3rd brake light, I actually had water coming into my cab. It was fixed under warranty, but they said it was the 3rd brake light seal that was the issue so I would definitely look into that. I'm sitting at about 34000 miles myself.

Unless something has changed on the warranty end and I bet not. The TOE settings have a warranty labor op to use with replacement of a failed front end component if covered under factory warranty. Call Chrysler or the dealer service manager. They owe you $39.00 and they need to run the set toe labor op on their paperwork to be paid by Dodge. Factory always paid for such with no issues.

No lift, stock tires.........

Our winters here are pretty harsh with lots of salt being used on the roads

Also potholes are RETARDED which explains the tie rods

I'll take the 3rd brake light cover off and check it out

Sucks but what can ya do

Dodge did pay for the Toe settings. But an alignment is $69.00. I had to pay the $39.00 difference. My rotors are also warped. They wanted $399.00 to pull them and face the rotors. My pads are only about 1/2 gone. Lots of hills around here. The only time I notice the rotor pulsing is on the highway, coming off the off ramps and such. Most of my rural driving is around town and at about 45mph. Heck it takes me over 45 minutes to get the highway...

I noticed today that they put on a new tailgate cap.

Aren't rotors covered on extended warranty?

Pads and rotors are not covered by any service contacts that I've ever seen

We've got plenty of winter and potholes here, shouldn't have anything to do with wearing out your brakes and little to do with tierods failing in a pickup.
