So, I downloaded pandora on my phone, which is blue tooth enabled, and it plays through the stereo on the truck flawlessly.. I 'made' like three channels- Steve Earle, Pearl Jam, and Limp Bizkit.. I get nothing but quality music now suited to my taste.. AND, I can listen to all the sports shows too.. what does this cost? not a red cent..

your OE radio's are bluetooth enabled, no? If you're carrying a smart phone, give it a shot..
The Pandora idea is great. As long as you have decent cell phone signal strength it provides an excellent music source. If you're a talk radio type person it might not fill the void though.

By the way, I've done Pandora via the aux-in jack, but not bluetooth. How do you play it from your phone via BT?

I have an '02 dude... and, a hybrid third gen/ second gen.. I put an aftermarket head unit in it which has bluetooth capacity.. works awesome for me..

you're right about the signal thingy.. and you won't have the selection for talk- but you still have it.. plus, you can tap into the 'radio ap' for news and such.. the aux 1.5mm jack is golden for this too.

I too was automatically charged by XM just a few months ago. They sent me a letter saying that I needed to update the expiration date on my credit card, or my service would be disconnected if no action was taken. Seeing as I was about to purchase a new vehicle and not longer needed service, I did not call them and waited for them to shut me off. A few weeks later I had a charge for $271 for 1 year of service. I called to complain and they said they had an agreement with credit card companies and could obtain updated credit card info on their own. Long story short, they only refunded $220 and denied the letter I had in my hand said what it did. They are crooks and they are committing credit card fraud.

Even though I hate them, I could not live without them. I will just be more careful in the future and call to have them delete my credit card info after purchasing another year.

I have been fighting with them for years, over one thing or another. One thing I have NEVER done, is given them a credit card number. I ALWAYS tell them to put their latest offer in writting and send me a bill. I then can decide to pay or not, and if I do pay I always pay by check. Giving them my credit card number would be worse than giving the card to my wife

Sirius sucks. I only ended up listening to one channel. All their crap is hip hop b/s. We have a lot of non-profit radio stations here now so they don't have commercials. I dumped them. They kept calling me. I told them to take me off the list. They kept calling. I told them I had my number registered for no solicits. They kept calling. I reported them. I haven't heard from them since.

That sucks that they kept calling you. I have had nothing but good experiences with Sirius Customer Service. I also completely disagree with you that all of the stations are "hip hop b/s". While there are good amount of pop and hip hop stations there are also a good amount of rock, classic rock, hair metal, heavy metal, and even blues/jazz stations. I find myself listening to Octane, Boneyard, Liquid Metal, and BB Kings Bluesville the most. I also love Sirius NFL Radio for the latest news about the NFL although admittedly it sucks right now because of the lockout, it usually satisfies my cravings for football during the offseason. Just having one good station to listen to without having to listen to annoying 12 minute long radio commercials makes it worth it for me.
