how much for your 4th gen ram ?
I love my 2011 Quad Cab SLT Hemi 4x4. Wouldn't trade it for anything else. In response to maxbob82 I have absolutely no issue with the MDS. I actually find myself driving in a more appropriate manner to try and get the MPG average up. I have been as high as 19 and I am still in the break in period. I've never really heard of any issues with the MDS, and I belive GM has a similar system in their pickups so I think it's pretty obvious that they don't have that many problems or else they wouldn't bother having such a system in the first place.
As for the new Fords they are about as fugly a truck as I have ever seen. The rear end looks like something out of a science fiction movie with the ugly tailgate and cheesy looking chrome tail lights. The interior also looks utilitarian and cheap in comparison to the Rams except on the very high end F150s. That and Ford's customer service from my experience, and that of my parents is abysmal at best. I wouldn't do business with them if they offered me a free truck. Also the whole "Ecoboost" thing is really starting to get on my nerves. It's a V6 with twin turbos, I just don't see why you would want a pickup with a v6 engine in it that's hooked up to twin turbos. Seems like it would be expensive to fix if it breaks, and it would sound like a glorified weed eater. They claim better gas mileage but if you're romping on it, or using it to tow you're probably not going to get any better than a V8. On top of that there's probably a lot more aftermarket options for V8 engines than there are for Ecoboost engines.

I can get 22mpg out of my 08 Hemi if I drive 55mph with the MDS turned on. I have gotten 24 twice while traveling on fairly flat highway.
I have owned Fords for 28 years. I still have 2, but I now own 3 Dodges.
The new F150 is almost as ugly as a Tundra and those are pretty darn ugly. They weigh over 6k lbs and that is ridiculous for a 1/2 ton truck. My 08 weighs 5240. The Sync system is garbage. I read of constant problems with the thing. It is Microsoft so it needs constant updates which I'm sure will be costly once the warranty runs out. It is so complicated that one of our local Ford dealers has classes every Saturday to try to help people use the darn thing.
I had a 2001 F150 OFFROAD 4x4 that I traded in on my 08 Ram. it was a good truck. Other then the 73-79, I think it was the best looking body style. The 260hp 5.4L wasn't real fast, but it had 350lb/ft and towed ok for only having 3.55 gears.
I would not buy a new F150, especially with an Eco-boost time bomb under the hood.
I would probably trade my 08 for an 11 Ram because they are a bit more refined than my 08 as far as ride and interior, but it's a truck. I don't expect it to ride and drive like a 300 and I have a lifetime powertrain warranty so I will be keeping mine until either the body falls off or some douchebag hits me and totals it.
Wow, i got long winded there

If I did get another Ram, it would probably be a BigHorn like I have now. I like the optional sport hood (Like a Challenger) and the RamBox bed. The Sports look good, but I don't like painted bumpers.
The MDS works as it should, I just wish it would stay engaged longer at higher speeds like the local 70mph limits. I currently have it turned off with my Diablosport Predator.
Just picked up a 1500 Express with power options for $20k and change. Highly recommend truecar.com. If they don't list a dealer that has the exact truck you want, contact the dealer that does and ask them to match the price. Worked for me.
I just picked up my 11' crew cab sport 2wd for 32,250, sticker was at 42,800. I'm a chevy guy but the dodge was irresistible, just got 20 mpg from la to Phoenix w/ ac on blast. Love the sunroof, leather, and the luxury car ride. The mygig radio is sweet, buy one and stop bs'ing

I just bought a 2009 4x4 Crew Cab 4.7 SLT, 14,500 Miles, Cert. Pre Owned so I still get the year left on the Bumper to Bumper and the remained of the 7yr power-train. Paid $26,500+ Tax License.
I traded in my Base Model (manual windows, no power anything, no cruise control) 2 wheel drive Tacoma extended cab '08 with 28,000 miles and they gave me $14,500 which I was pretty happy with.

Traded my 2008 for 2009, absolutely no regrets. Got the crew cab, so there's plenty of room in the back. Interior much upgraded from gen 3, I get lots of compliments. Only thing I don't have is the 392 rear end, I have the 355 and it's not as good in hilly country.
MSRP of about $47k, paid $9k plus the 2008 out-the-door, probably due to the fact that it was an early 2009 that had been on the dealer lot for quite a long time. My 2008 was purchased in Sept 2008 for a song as I got it right when the stock market melted down.
I'm running Diablo and have disengaged MDS, I'm not a fan of MDS with aftermarket exhaust. The MDS is really a nice system on our 2011 Jeep GC.
If I purchase another truck, it will be a Dodge for sure.
