Are spacers needed for 305/50/20 tires?
I see several threads regarding maximum tire sizes for Rams, but I wanted to ask the same question, given the specific details of my Ram. It's a 2009 Ram 1500 SLT Crew Cab (4x4). It has stock suspension and 20x9 chrome clad wheels. I need to get new tires soon and I'd like to get wider ones...either 305/50/20s (or at least 295/50/20s). Currently, it has the General 275/60/20s that it came with. After reading several threads, it seems I get mixed responses on whether or not a 305/50/20 will fit without rubbing. So my question is, will a 305 or 295/50/20 fit the truck without any modifications? If not, what are your thoughts on 1/4" wheel spacers on the front? I do not do any off-roading and only use 4 wheel drive when it snows, so the front wheels will rarely have torque applied to them.

I have Nitto Terra Grapplers LT285/55R20 and i have a little rubbing at full turn. I also have the 20x9 chrome clad wheels that comes with the sport trucks with a +19.5 offset. And my truck is a 2009 SLT Crew Cab 2WD with stock suspension.
