Default Aero Turbine MPG gain?

Hi all I know this has probably been covered in various threads but I am tired of searching. I have a 2008 GMC Sierra 5.3 and no, I didn't get on here to bash any brand. As long as it's american made I like it. My question is for all of you with the Aero mufflers. I am looking at the 3030xl for and increase in my MPGs. Alot of guys claim as much as 2 highway MPGincrease and some say its junk along with the tornado. Any input from owners would be awesome. Thanks Guys...

I noticed a slight gain in mileage, maybe 0.5mpg

Call it junk haha? This muffler is the real deal: no rust after a season of harsh Canadian winters for me, sounds great, loud, and a slight mpg increase on my Ram. I would have to agree with the above post with the 0.5 mpg claim; in combination with a tuner, CAI, and the AT3030, I have netted ~2mpg increase on a 5.9L gas. I am sure the results would be similar on a Sierra.

No muffler is going to help too much. Today's OEM stuff is pretty efficient because they are alreay trying to get the best mpg possible. Magnaflow seems to be the best for the money. That's what I use.

Have you seen how restrictive the stock muffler is? It's junk!

Backpressure is not necessarily a bad thing. Some of the restriction actually improves efficiency, power, and mileage.

Don't just leap blindly over a cliff - make sure there is a net or water below you.

Research, research, research.

Thanks guys, I have been researching the hell out of this and get mixed reviews. Seen a group of people say they got an honest-to-god 1.5-2mpg increase with it and then seen the .5. I know the muffler on my truck now is about the size of a 55 gallon drum. What are the mods that seem to have yeilded the best mpg gains? I was also looking at hooker's aerochamber, any feedback on those?
