Default hemi transmission pan upgrade question

I want to upgrade the pan on my '09 2WD ram hemi. Moe's performance lists 2 manufacturers, Mag-Hytec and PML. Moe's states the following for the Mag-Hytec, "2003 - Present Dodge Ram (3.7L, 4.7L, 5.7L Hemi), This pan is designed to work with the 4 Wheel Drive Filter Only. If you have a 2 wheel drive vehicle you will need the 4 wheel drive filter." I'm concerned about the filter being different for the 2WD vs the 4WD and that in the future, some grease monkey may put the wrong one in and cause a problem. What is the difference? is it just size, where it picks oil up from? will the 2WD filter even fit? The PML pan only fits if you modify the crossover exhaust pipe and I don't want to go that way. I know I'm being **** but I want to do things right the first time.

I wish I could help you but you know as much I do. I saw that cross over pipe under there and that thing is awfully close. Too close for me...it would definately cut down on the heat if you could move it from under the pan. Maybe run the pipe on the left side of the tranny and come out above and past the cross member and then cross over. It may be a lot of $$$ but worth it...probably less than a pan would cost, lol! I don't know, and I don't know the differences between the filters. Have you tried to call Moes? I'd ask them about them, I'm sure they'll know the differences and have an explanation.

Just tell the shop up front that you have a deep pan and to use the 4x4 filter and it should be done right.
