Where are all the Hemi Problems
#12
Thanks for the details evan4434. Don't get me wrong, I loved my 5.9 once I got things figured out. Within the first 30k miles I had replaced:
- 4 sets of injectors
- Fuel sending unit
- 2nd gear tranny valve
- Front pinion seal (twice)
- Steering pump
I didn't tow anything beyond myself and my dirtbike (Got the diesel for the power and fule economy) and was told by the dealer I wasn't driving it hard enough. After that I never had any issues with the injectors or the like.

i also miss my 04 3500 with 5.9 and nv5600, never a problem, till it was totaled. dodge has always been known for great 8 cyl engines. i chose the hemi as i couldn't find anyone to say anything bad about them. still quite a few 318s out there still. biggest problem, costs about eighty dollars to fill up,
i drive 50 or 60 miles and have to fill up again. about 2 mpg. of course i have two driving daughters, work the night shift and the truck is never in the same place i park it in the drive way. may not be an engine issue though. lol
