Default Seat question

I have an 09 Laramie. I had a small ridge in the drivers seat that was minor when I received the k10 notice. It looked as though a sheet of paper was folded and placed between the cushion and the leather. I took the truck in to be looked at and was told that it looked like the seat had been wet and to use the seat heater more often to shrink the leather tight.

I told the service manager it had never been wet or even damp and if they didn't fix it I would have trouble down the road.

Now the seat has torn along the perforations, just where the ridge had been. My warranty is gone as the truck has >60k miles. Chrysler has denied my claim/plea to cover it under the k10 notice.

Does anyone have any advice as to following the appeals process and how often it is successful??

If your seat has a k10 recall on seat covers there is a double stitched seam along lower front of seat they need to cover it due to it being a recall. Or. Are you saying yours didn't have the recall but it's seperating like the recall seat covers

Mine doesn't have the double stitching on the front seats but does on the back. The driver seat is the one that is torn. It's between the perforations in two spots along the ridge that I showed to the service manager when I took it in for the k10 notification.

I was told the replacement would cost $400.00. I feel it should be covered because I complained while it was under warrenty.
