Default HVAC actuator door sticks

Hey Guys. My truck is an '09 1500 Hemi. The normal/max door closes by itself, resulting in recirculated air. I can get it back to fresh air by turning the heat control to max, wait 10 secs, then turn it back to normal. I can hear the door open, and blower sound gets quiet. Then a few minutes later it closes again. The dealer changed the actuator door, but it still does it. Any TSBs or ESBs I can take to the dealer?

My 09 acts like it has a mind of its own. It will open and close without input from driver. There was/is a SB on the actuators. Mine actually broke and would not move between vent, heat, defrost positions.

I don't know if the current problem is electronic or vacuum. My 95 did the same sort of thing and was vacuum.

they are elcetronic actuators, possibly your recirc door could be partially broken and causeing an overtravel code and resetting its self of you have a bad a/c control head switching it between recirc and normal air. dealer should be able to do a recalibration of all the actuators to verify.

There is an RRT to the dealer about HVAC with the doors sticking and making noise. Don't remember the number but your dealer should be able to find it with no problem.

Thanks! I found two ESBs online. For anyone with this prob, ESB 52181 says the door actuator gears may break, and should be replaced. ESB 52182 says after replacing the door/gears, to re-program the control head. Both ESBs have NHTSA Action #10034072. Hope this works.

My gears were replaced and the doors now work, just don't work as they should all the time.

My truck went into the dealer today for the exhaust manifold bolts. I had them check the door actuators and of course there were no codes or problems.....until I drove it home.
