I was looking to purchase some Boston Acoustic S953 6x9 for all 4 doors but the depth is 3 3/16 inches will these fit can you use 1/2 inch spacers and still have space with the grill? Thanks in advance for help!

 

Sorry I have no pic’s for you but I did use the spacers on my front doors for the speakers to fit. The speakers I installed are Infinity Kappa Series 692.9i.

 

I don't know about the BA fitting but I installed some infinity reference's in my truck and they fit with some minor modifications...

I just installed 4 Infinity Reference speakers in all four doors in my quad cab, and I didn't use the spacers on my front doors I just cut out some of the inside plastic. (If you pull the original speakers out you will see). It won't affect the integrity of the door but it allows the speakers to fit flush and prevents the tweeter from pushing out on the speaker cover. On the back door I used the spacers and they fit perfectly!! I had the basic system in my truck and upgraded just those four and what a difference. I think I have some pics of the references installed and if I do I will add them for you.

 

you can always check out the kenwood 4 or 5way 6x9 ie series, i know they fit cause i have the 4way in mine all around. Check the specs and see if they match what you're trying to put in.
