Needing new gears and have some questions
Ok just a couple ???s , I have 2009 dodge 1500 4x4 4.7 with 35s, i am wanting to go to 4.56 gears, my 1st? is where is the best place to buy them, please provide link. 2nd Can I install the rears 1st , IF I do not use 4x4 until I save more $$$ to do the fronts. I am in need of some umph back, I pull a 20ft trailer and my baby has no **** lol

This isn't exactly a mod you want to half-***. If you do it, you want to do it all the way to get everything knocked out at once and reduce your chance of problems. But it is definitely a mod worth getting and worth the money. Huge difference in mine since I did the swap. Shop around for prices and brands though.
Technically, you can change just the rear gears IF you never put it in 4 wheel drive, but if you do, the flatbed guy will be going back to pick up your transfer case and probably both drive shafts off the side of the road after he winches your truck on board.
Personally, I'd save up and have both done. Going rate for gears, install kit an labor should range you anywhere from about $1250-$1600 depending on your area and where you go. Add a good LSD (Auburn or DTT) and you can add about $500-$600...
