Default New gear break in?

Got the gears swapped a little bit ago, the back are broke in fine. They served their time. How do you really break in the front though, just run around in 4wd for a while everywhere you go?

I wouldn't run around on the street in 4 wheel, that will cause things to bind up alot (especially on corners), if you want to drive around on dirt/gravel roads or do some light wheeling that's what I would do. JMHO

Google earth where you live and I bet you can find some kind of dirt or gravel roads closer than you think. If not, might try running it in the rain or wait until it snows!

Out of curiosity, what gears did you go with and how much was the total cost.

I run mine on the freeway on long runs, obviously with no hard turns. Enough for them to get hot for break-in and then disengage. I've done that with all my 4x4s and never had any issues.

I went with Yukon 4.56's. Parts and labor was a total of about $1700.
