Yea I'm the second owner on the truck and it has to be something to do with the mds because I don't think an injector would start doing it then stop. It's in the shop now I should know the problem today hopefully

No doubt, as soon as I can afford the trade, i'll be in a cummins to. Don't get me wrong, I love this truck, but, the future scares me. I run a fleet of 50 trucks, all diesel, (75% cummins power), we also have a few gasers... Well, let me just say, yes, I have more faith in a cummins than a diesel. Once My truck is out of warranty, it'll probably be time for it to go... ... Cheers buddy, best luck to ya.

Does your fleet have any 6.7 cummins in them with all the emissions junk. I have owned 5 Dodge cummins trucks before this hemi, and my 6.7 was the biggest POS I ever owned. The other 4 turcks were all 5.9's, and were all great with very little to no issues.

You could not pay me to buy any of the new diesels that are out on the market today. The only truck I would buy would be before 2007 with a 5.9 cummins.

Once this hemi is paid off in 1 1/2 years I will be going back to either a 2003 or 2004 dodge cummins with a NV5600.

These hemi's are not that bad though and most have very little to no issues. This is the first one I have seen with any issues of this size. I wonder if it has anything it do with MDS and all that stuff.

I put over $5,000 of my own money in my 2008 6.7 cummins just to keep it on the road. When I traded it in a fire sale for this hemi the tranny was just about out, and it was out of warranty. I had the G56 manual, and the input shaft bearing was out. Add the cost of that in, and I could of had over $8,000 of my own money in that thing. Not to mention I paid over $40,000 for it brand new off the lot in 2008.

Hate to say it but the issue you have is minor compared to some of the issues and cost you could have with a 6.7. There are a ton of issues with these trucks still, but they have gotten better.

Like I said in the other post, if you are going to trade off your hemi make sure you get a Dodge cummins with a 5.9 not a 6.7. You might just wish you had your hemi back.

The grass is not always greener on the other side.

About half of the fleet is 6.7's... They tow ALL DAY LONG anywhere form 3000-8000lbs, 90% city... The other have is Ford 6 leakers...

I have to say, the 6L from ford is JUNK!...

As far as the 6.7's, we have had VERY FEW problems... Most of our trucks are between 60,000miles and 100,000miles... Like I said minor issues. We've had a couple with plugged DPF's, due to a failed sensor (warranty). A couple fuel sending unit (for the gauge) failed under warranty. Typical ball joints, and brakes... Other than those, the things have been awesome. Way better than the 6 leakers, having to replace 8 injectors every 15-30,000miles... We'll see as time progresses...

Once my truck is paid for, I'll be going with a 06 or 07 5.9 Cummins auto... As pretty as the new ones are, the 6.7's do scare me with all the emissions crap. Our 6.7's are stock, as the company does not believe in modifying (especially while under warranty)...

ANYWAYS, sorry for kinda hijacking your thread...
