Default Should we be worried?

Hey Guys & Ladies,

Quick question me and my father just left the Dodge dealorship my mother picked us up...Reason being my father's 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie (demo) 6,000 miles. The back window wouldn't go back up after you pressed the button to make it go up or down. The service representive that takes service notes from the customer he did tell us this problem has been fixed before twice already and same with some other problems that was fixed before in the service notes on the truck from whatever website they use to check problems. Here's some of the problems that was fixed before he bought the truck: PCM & back window twice already now 3 times.

Now they are looking at a possible brake problem cause it makes a crunching sound on the left side of the truck. So the service supervisor and parts manager told us since we bought this truck their going to be service it for free for instance fix the problems and install the new software for Sirius Travel Link.

Should we be worried about this truck with these problems? My father just bought this truck a week ago.

If it happens again, I would start looking into the lemon law in your state and start talking to them about swapping out that truck for another.
I would wait and see what the repairs actually are to see if it is the same issue as before or something different. I would also have them print out a complete service report and see what all has been done in the 6k miles it has been driven.

Take good notes, ask everything as much as possible on paper... Past service, issues, diagnostic etc etc and built a case in the event that you have other issues in the future. Now if they've fixed it twice before, they didn't fix it properly. Get them to change the whole assembly and hardware... Good luck!

Just got back home from the dealorship the service team did a full diagnostic on the back window hardware/assembly and etc, they did find the switch was faulted again so they replaced it. As free of charge they put Nitrogen in for free since they found the issue with the power back window button. Also they did a bumper to bumper, engine & etc check found everything else was in top shape. Also they did the update for the Sirius Travel Link for free.

The part supervisor/assistant service manager both said to my father if the problem comes back with the power window their going to call Chrystler and see what they can do for us to either fix the issue and let them know about the possible defect in the power button switch for the back window or offer us a brand new truck.

hahahah they threw in some free nitrogen for the tires! hahaha thats like going to a barber shop and them throwing in a free comb after f&$!ing up your hair. hahaha

but seriously.. get everything documented. i had an old crate motor blow that was 3 days old.. long story short i ended up paying the dealer for their faulty motor, then paying for them to destroy my car. then had to have the engine rebuilt.

document everything as if your going to end up in court....
