Check the A/C drain, it might not be draining off the condensation properly and holding water and rotting the evaporator within the heating system housing. As it dries out, the corrosion dust blows out thru your vents.

Also, if you have a 3rd brake light leaking, (and or door seals) you`ll have ALOT of moisture inside the cab of your truck. The A/C system is trying to keep up with removing moisture within the cab and traps alot of it within the heating system. This isnt helping the evaporator at all, by having all this water/moisture inside the cab all the time. The 4th gen heat-a/c system is a very poor design. And like another person said in here, he`s exactly right, the heater air filter mod will NOT fix the problem either.

One thing that may help, try to drive often as possible with the the windows open to help dry out your truck from time to time. This seemed to help solve some of the problem for me.
Funny when I worked at a car cleaning place as a kid we did hand washes, interior shampoo's , engine clean up. Well after cleaning the interior we used to leave the customers car sitting outside running with the a/c on and in no time it was dry in there.
If you drain is plugged and easy way to know is under you car with air on you should see a puddle form quickly when parking idling. If not get it checked.
