Maybe I get it from sitting in airplanes too much, but I'm not going to drive around with any questionable parts, especially fairly inexpensive safety related parts like tie rod ends. They are outta here.

Whatever makes you happy. Just realize that the recall does not talk about anything actually breaking, it is just about noise.

The outer tie rod ends on your truck (VIN:xxxxxxxxx) may experience water ingression in one or both of the outer tie rod ends. This could cause a rattling or clunking noise under certain driving conditions.

Not mine. Maybe RCs are not part of it.

Famous last words.

Rattling, sloppy, noisy, whatever it is doing that is not correct is need for change. I sure don't want sloppy Tie Rods wearing out my tires. Which is still why I think my OEM tires got all choppy and needed to change at 18,000 miles.
I still bet they are going to do all of them.
All it is going to take is one accident in Arizona to change their minds....

Anyone in Canada received this recall yet? I live in Alberta where we have snow at least 6 months a year.

More likely it is because you had the crappy goodyear 20" tires. If you are familiar with the way a TRE works, it is damn hard to have an actual failure. I've certainly ruined enough of them in my offroad vehicles, but never had one come apart.

That must be why I haven't got the notice? I would not have guessed they are different on an RC.

Your info does not say what state you are in.
I figured it might go out to everyone after the snow folk got taken care of.
Yup, i just got it in the mail last saturday.
State Info: Central Northern PA. (Sayre PA area)
I wasnt aware they were going to include the 1500 trucks.
I thought is was just the 2500 trucks with the bad tie rods.

For the other guy that said its painless..., sorry but WRONG ANSWER.
For what we pay for these trucks fully loaded with the FULL options list,
like i have, you`d think they could put some quality in there somewhere.
