Bedliner/Hitch Cover Question
Well listen, my deal on the back of my Jeep sticks out just a shade over 9" as pictured and I've since replaced the tow hook with a shackle that has it down to 7 1/2" - NOBODY needs to have their a$$ 7 1/2" from the back of my Jeep cause that would tell me they are pure out up to no good!!! If I see someone snooping around the back of either of my vehicles that close - trust me, that hitch is the least of their worries!
And if I whack my shinbone on the thing, I'll chalk it up to my own stupidity...

I gotta get another lock, I have the front hitch locked on the Jeep, because I'll either have the winch, my lightbar or my fishing rig up there and it's just a matter of sliding one out and making off with it (although the fishing rig would be kinda hard to tote down the street unnoticed, LOL).
I keep a lock in my ATV because I have a Louisiana Guard Dog to secure it in the back of the truck, I could use that on the back of the Jeep, but it's cheaper to go buy another than make an unscheduled 360 mile trip to the farm to get that one, LOL.
I can see someone making off with the dual hitch on the back of the Jeep simply because it's "different"...

Yah you should def lock the one on the jeep. That means 3 different locks to protect everything on that hitch, that adds up pretty quick lol!
When I lived in northern michigan I never locked my stuff b/c it's a different world up there haha.

South Georgia used to be that way. In the '90s I never locked my vehicles at the house nor did my wife or I lock the house during the day when we were at work, only if we were going to be gone somewhere over-night. But it ain't like that no more...
Different world in Northern Michigan? Don't you have times its daylight 24/7? Northern lights and that kinda thing. I'd think thefts would be worse then down in the lower 48 with all them hours of light.
Poor Shlotz, newbie came on, first post asked about a lousy hitch cover and the thread went all over the place about hitches and crime and stuff on him. Poor guy ain't been back since, LOL...
Haha I wasn't that far north I saw the northern lights 1x in my 3 1/2 years there. But it actually gets dark EXTREMELY early this time of year and come winter months. It's always dark or gloomy starting in October, it might be light out but the nasty fall weather clouds are looming day/night.
Yea we totally thread jacked this Shlotz...Sorry bud, but there is some useful info for you!
