Haha I grew up in SoFla then moved to Michigan for work and now live in Northern NJ... yuck. Upstate NY is gorgeous!

Btw Hammer where did you get that dual hitch? Looks like you could hook a small trailer with no master cylinder on it tow a (snowmobile/flat trailer) and still put a cooler rack on the upper slot...

They are all over the place, I bought it locally, but you can get one at Harbor Freight, Northern Tool, e-Trailer, Cabelas, Amazon.com, etc.

I'm actually thinking about picking another one up. I still have the original spare under the truck, can't fit a 35" under there. Was seriously thinking about a hitch mounted tire carrier for the truck and still be able to tow a trailer when I had to.
Seen one that will swing the tire away so you can open the tail gate was awesome, bu they want stupid money for it...

I'll have to double check my harbor freight I have yet to see one there!! Prob. walked by it 30x there's so much in that store that I like

That would be sweet a tire mount for the hitch. I've seen in some of your post's that you weld and such... How hard would it be for yah to weld one up like the one they ask way to much for? That'd be a sweet project if you had the time and all..

I've got a welder here, but not much else for metal work. I used to have access to a friends shop where they made LED signs, the big ones you see on the side of major highways. All kinds of cool toys to play with like a punch press, shear, brake, etc. But Mr. Banker man came and took it all away about a year ago now. I have quite a few things on my truck I made there out of diamond plate or sheet stainless.

When you see the dual adapter, note how much longer the bottom receiver is than mine and you'll see where I cut mine off and re-welded it so it wouldn't stick out so far and **** off people like hounddogg who don't watch where they're walking, LOL...

BTW, it's on sale at Harbor Freight until Sept. 30. $15 off:

I've got a buddy put one in his Cheby Z71 he got from a junk yard (pic 'n pull) for $70, with the tailgate liner too. A truck that got it's front end smashed in pretty good. A little scratched up, little faded but otherwise in good shape. Kinda hard to kill a bedliner.

So that's an avenue you can check too...

Thanks looks like I will be ordering one of those.

Sucks to hear about your buddies shop, this economy is killing a lot of independent shops. Used to use this shop in NJ for hydraulic/oil any kind of hose I needed w/ JIC fittings and pressure tested and we used them a lot and they still went out of business. It sucks they were great people...
