what is this ? a gearbox next to front differential.
If this case were broken from the internals grenading it would be a warranty issue. It doesn't seem from the pictures or your description that the axle disconnect is broken so the only real explanation is damage externally and that would not be covered by warranty. I looked under mine when I was changing oil recently and it seems really, really unlikely that running over something could cause this. This case is tucked up behind the axle. It would have to have been something that basically 'flew' up, such as running over a board or something. Certainly if you ran over a fixed object like a curb or rock it would have destroyed a lot of other stuff before hitting the axle disconnect. The jack idea seems plausible, but unlikely to have happened before you took delivery. In any case, none of those scenarios would be warranty.
As for your question about driving it around... I wouldn't. Who knows how much axle lube, if any, leaked out from there. You could severely damage your axle and it would cost you WAY more. The dealer knows of the damage now, so axle damage definitely wouldn't be warrantied. Just have them fix it and chalk it up to an accident.

Thansk BigBlueEdge,
For the second answer,i am afraid most of the oil already gone. Coz nobody knows how long it's been like that. There is some oil dripping very slowly at the centre of the actuator. Do you think that by any chance the actuator oil and the axle oil you mentioned is sealed separatly? All the oil i am losing is just from this CAD . I am just hoping. ...

There's no chance that there are two separate oil reservoirs. When you change axle fluid you only drain and fill it from the pumpkin. That said, it's possible that most of the axle lube is still in the pumpkin and not much has leaked out. The question is are you willing to take the risk that more driving in this state will/won't cause damage. If it was just a couple miles through town and you drove real slowly then maybe. If you have to drive 200 km at highway speeds like you suggest I'd definitely avoid it. $470 is a lot of money, but it's so much less than it could be if you wreck the axle. One other option is for you to just buy the part yourself (the case cover or whole disconnect assembly, whatever they are replacing) and replace it yourself. It doesn't look terribly complicated to R&R.

Well now that you know what it is and if the dealer is not gonna do it under warranty take it to a garage that charges lesser hourly rate than the dealer. They are too expensive here in Canada I am paying just over 50 bucks for a conventional oil oil change. I went over to the Michigan bought15 quarts of Valvoline Syntec, for 29 for a 5plus jug or 5 separate quarts. So since they only had one jug i took 10 quart and a jug and 3 oil filters, all for under 100 bucks which will get me two oil changes at the price of 21 bucks for product due to 7 dollar per 5 quart rebate and 3 dollar rebate on the filter, Fram Extratough gard, and 12 labour at the dealer so I have proof it was installed by a qualified place to get the 300000 mile engine warranty plus 33 bucks for a synthetic oil change instead of 50 plus for a regular one. I have to keep up the synthetic, I don't really care about the warranty just the cheap synthetic oil changes and well our truck seems to run quieter with the synthetic..not sure if that is normal but it it there. Auto zone or the other one has the synthetic Pennzoil for 5 quarts and a filter for 28 plus a rebate, I might just grab some of that, but I am good for a year I plan to go the full 6 months since we are allowed that or 10000 kms. My record of dealer recommended every 3 months....sometimes we had like less than 1000 miles or 1600 kms so I figure synthetic is made to last longer I can go the 6 months and 4000 kms that we will probably put.

The labor to replace it would be pretty minor, shouldn't take more than 20 minutes to replace it. Might have some luck saving money on the part by shopping around.
I would dispute their findings --- the pic looked like it was pushed out, no in.
Or, broken by them or in transit.........
You would have noticed if YOU had hit anything that hard...............
