Mounted a second battery in my Laramie 4X4
If anyone is interested, I designed a battery tray that mounts behind the front bumper of my 09 Ram that can hold two auxillary batterys. I currently only have one addtional battery in my aux battery tray. I bought an aluminum raised roof topper for my truck bed and created a little mini camper for my wife and I. I use the aux battery to power a large inverter so we have AC power in the camper. A battery isolator that is mounted under the hood keeps the aux battery separated from the starter battery so they can't drain current from each other. The factory alternator keeps all the batteries charged up.
I'm interested in making and selling parts. Get in touch with me if you want some pics.

I were gonna make me up a secondary tray and put it there too as there is plenty of room. BUT I decided to kill two birds with one rock and cut my hood, making my scoop functional and using the CTD passenger side battery tray once I get my CAI off the side and to the scoop.
I have everything I need, but just haven't had the chance to remove my hood and cut it.
Temporarily, I pulled the 2/0 wire I had going to my rear hitch as a secondary winch position back thru a drain hole in the bed and have my 2nd battery under my tool box. But I'll get this done soon...

I have installed the battery isolator per the instructions, but havent put in the second battery. When I started up my truck and checked the voltage, I am only getting about 12.3 volts at the main battery. Which wire do you need to hook up from the isolator and go to the power dist. box next to the battery? My gauge inside the truck is only showing 12 volts at idle, and before mounting the isolator, I was showing 14 volts?
