Head Lamp Issue... HELP!!
I was wondering if anyone had insight into a problem I am having. Own a 2010 Ram 1500 and recently noticed that my head lamps on the right side of the vehicle do not come on at all. The left side works fine. Ive looked at the fuses, but im not exactly sure which one control the lamps. And im not sure where or if there is a relay for them. I had a friend check the situation and all he could find out is that there was negative voltage present at the harness where the bulbs plug in. This one has me confused because everyone Ive taken it to gives me the same answer.... "i dont know what's wrong, thats strange"
Frogman - I have the same issue as you......this forum has one guy who had this same issue but hasn't logged in for a few months now.
Here is a copy of his thread.

I'll be taking my truck to the dealer on Saturday and hopefully I can get this issue resolved. They're a few other people on other boards that are having this same issue but no real fixes for them yet.

Some Ram trucks have had a grounding issue, faulty ground connection behind the headlight housing. (recall soon...????)
Also keep in mind and i`m not sure if this holds true for ram trucks, the caravans have a recall for headlights going out.
Apparently the headlight modules are screwing up on the caravans, and dodge has been recalling ALOT of them.

I'm unsure of where this ground wire is I've tried tracing the wires back to the TIPM and it seems that there is just the ground for the TIPM I could be wrong but I didn't see a true "ground" wire that could have been loose. I wish firebug18 would chime in with a little more detail on his grounding issue and where exactly the problem was. But I'm definitely going to bring my truck to the dealer on Saturday so hopefully I'll have a little more direction on this issue.
Well no luck on getting this resolved they changed the bulb and reset the TIPM because it was showing the circuit open. So now I have to bring my truck back in on Thursday so their electrical guru could diagnose it. I'll have to pay 150 just to find out the issue because they could tell I've tampered with my headlights cause its painted.
Wish me luck

Well I just got my truck back from the dealer and I need a new TIPM apparently its on back order. The service rep said I'm number 52 in line for a new one and he said he is going to try and push it up by saying its an ORV(off road vehicle) I guess that means that truck will be sitting at the dealership????? They have no idea how long it will take to come in since they need so many but I'll keep this thread updated.
I wonder if were gonna see a RRT for TIPMs 52 sounds like a major issue and that's not counting how many were already replaced causing them to be on back order.

Ther IS a recall for them in the caravan`s. Ram`s are probably next for recall`s on this very issue...!
And THAT would NOT surprise me one bit...!
