Default Bumper turning black

I have a 09 1500 with the 4.7. It doesnt smoke or burn oil, getting about 19mpg average. The engine seems fine as far as I can tell, but the corner of my rear bumper keeps getting stained black near the tail pipe, inside the tail pipe is pitch black......it's starting to look like my 06 Cummins. Is this a common issue with these trucks or do I need to be looking farther into it? It dont seem right for a gasser to be turning bumpers black.

Are you roasting the tires? LOL Probably just carbon in the exhaust dripping out or if the roads are nasty some of it could be the chloride they put down.

Well here in Texas we're still in a drought, I doubt it's road grime
Thanks for the response!

I have the same black carbon buildup on my 09 5.7 SLT W/ single exhaust. I did notice that all the gasoline 4th gen Rams W/ single exhaust do the same thing. Looks like the truck is burning rich, but really isn't. Can't say that I noticed it on the chrome tips of the duals though.
