Default Parkview rear back up camera On window sticker but not on truck

I just picked up a 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie and the window sticker has the parkview rear back up camera listed on the sticker but it is missing from the truck. I searched the threads to find any information but the only thing I came up with is that they are out of stock or on back order. The dealer doesnt know anything about it (of course). Is there anything else I should be aware of to look and listen for on the truck?

Also why did the trucks list the 730n and come equipped with the 430n?

Thank you,
Ryan

I already sent Chrysler a email about the issue.

Seems to me that your dealer is the one that is screwing up...What I would do is go to the Chrysler website and run your VIN. If the vin says 430N and whatever its your dealer that screwed up. If I remember right its the dealer that runs the stickers...

Thanks for the help. Chrysler emailed me my build information and the rear camera was not on the build sheet. So I guess aftermarket is the way to go now.

You should be able to just buy the factory one from Mopar. I do believe that the harnesses are still there, just a matter of getting the camera. Not sure if you have to get the right tailgate handle but it should be possible that way. Then it might just be a simple flash on your deck to make it work.

Just on option.

Dealer does not do the original sticker, it is done at the factory. Sometimes dealers want to change prices and don't want you to see the original factory sticker and put their own, is this the case? If so and they sold it to you with the wrong parts no matter who put the stickers I think you are entitled to whatever you paid for.

Take the truck back and tell them to put what the sticker says or shove it.

If you are reffering to a window sticker: the one that lists all the features, fuel mileage, and MSRP; it is illegal for the dealer to tamper with it in any way.

Were you by chace looking at a second sticker right next to the MSRP? It is common for dealers to add a second sticker with dealer added accesories and markup.

If it was on the MSRP then you paid for all the accessories listed and need to make sure they put them in for you free of charge.

Here is a link that explains the difference between the 430n and 730n:
