Google 2011 f150 transmission problems. there is an issue with the pumps. Nothing too surprising seeing as this is really the first main issue for them since they totally changed the truck. All major remodels will have unforseen bugs in them, that's a fact.

I'm trying to figure out why anyone cares which 3 ton truck wins a drag race? The fastest 1/2 ton pickup is still a lame drag vehicle.

You're absolutely right.
There's just too much weight and drag at high speeds.
I read somewhere that one of the coolest cars (and best value for the money) is the Ford Mustang. 444hp and 4.4 0-60.

Yeah the Ecoboost is making similar peak hp and torque at the wheels as the Hemi on the dyno. So the reason why the f150 is winning is because it's making it's peak torque much earlier than the Hemi thanks to the turbo.

So a great way to get that extra torque leverage on the Hemi would be to go with a lower gear ratio. 4.10,4.56 ect

absolutely...I don't care that he can beat me off the line, if I wanted to beat him I would grab a buddies old muscle car and slap him in the face as I run circles around him! You can't feel that speed in a truck...

Trucks are for pulling IMO, and the Hemi has that over the ecoboost. Not necessarily on the HP/Torque ratios, but by reliability and fuel mileage. Seem our trannys can actually hold up to the incredible power to LOL.

Ya it would be nice, but I think about it this way...Ford can beat us off the line, but we beat them everywhere else, style interior, reliablility, AND in all reality unless hes giving his turbo time to spool before he jumps off hes damaging his turbos...so let him.

I have not tried to beat a 2011 off the line, just because no one I know locally has one (they all drive dodges!!!HAHA) But how much do they actually get us? And what happens when we hit third gear to theirs? It seems to be the sweet spot, how does that compare to the fords!!!!?

Those "flea`s" are a grenade with the pin pulled and just waitin for a place to blow up...lol.

At my school we have a big Ford program and they have one of the Ecoboost engines for their classes. you look at it and its a 3.5 v6 and youd never think it post the numbers that it does. The 2 turbos are the smallest turbos i have seen, its hard not to compar them to a baby like a "Aww its so cute" haha
