Default How to install rear amber turn signal

Hi,

I live in Oslo, Norway and just took delivery of a 2009 Single cab 4x4 HEMI this past Monday. But to get it approved and road legal here I need to fix the following:

*Install orange rear indicator lights (I need to put them where the reverse lights are now)
*Disable the turn signal function for the brake lights(flashing red lights are illegal here)
*I'll move the reverse light function to external lights that will be fitted under the bumper

I was thinking of splicing a wire on each of the front indicators and extend the wires to the back of the truck. Would that work OK or will the vehicle computer treat this as an anomaly?
If that works I'd only need to figure out how to disable the turn signal in the brake lights.

Thanks in advance for your help and Happy Holidays :-D

Did you already fix problem with lights?

I have 2006 Dodge ram in Slovenia, so I had same issue like you, but I do have seperated brake and turn signal wires. Computer is fine with the change

Hi,

I jury rigged all the lights to comply with European standards just to get the truck approved for use in Norway, then removed it all and returned it to its original condition. I fail to see the problem with red rear indicators. When it works just fine for 300 million ++ Americans it shoud work just as well for 4,7 million Norwegians.

>Thanks for your reply though :-D
