Ordering hid lights. A little help please
The factory headlights on these trucks SUCK! Plain and simple. I do a lot of miles, mostly at night. Installing the leveling kit helped a little (same as adjusting headlights up higher). Any idea how much retro shop charges to install projectors? I'm considering that route also. I feel like sticking with the oem is downright dangerous.

I don't know how much of a difference it makes having projectors. It seems that the bulb cover in the factory housing would help as far as blinding people. I think that most of the blinding lights that you see are kids who order the brightest light they can get and don't properly adjust them.
A projector makes a big difference. They have a cutoff shield that cuts off the light above a certain point.
With stock reflectors the bulb cap is no help. They blind bc the reflector is meant for halogen and a halogen vs hid bulb is way different. So the halogen reflector cannot properly focus the hid light causing scattered light which is the blinding glare.
