Default Ordering hid lights. A little help please

Gonna order hid's for the low beams and fogs. Looked into ddm tuning and retro solutions. Both had really good reviews but retro seems way more expensive. My question is do I go with 55w or 35w and what's the best color to get that won't be obnoxiously blue? Also, the truck is an 09 Laramie cc with quad lights. Will I need the error code eliminator? Ddm shows its required for all dodge except ram. Thanks guys

I am personally running retro solutions 55w 6k temperature in my low beams and my fogs. I personally love the retros so far, zero issues, no TPMS light get's triggered when I start the vehicle... I though am running projectors in my headlights so they'll look a little different... Here's some pics of how my lights look w/ 55w and 6k temp.

Also I don't need any code eliminators w/ my set up....I do have a Ram specific harness for my low beams from Retro though. I have never used DDM, but some guys used them and love them and some guys hate them. Just remember Retro's seem like there more $$ for Retro, but remember you do pay for what you get.

Thanks for the quick response. What exactly does the harness do for you?

No problem bro. The harness just allows for the ease of installation and has everything put together in one piece from the relay to the grounds to the capacitor and inline fuse. I guess the other thing you can say that makes it RAM specific is the length of everything is nice to where it fits perfectly if you run it a perfectly behind everything. When I installed mine the lengths were perfect on everything. I did drill out a larger hole on the relay mounting hole so I could mount it right where the washer fluid reservoir holder is..

I just got mine and after lots of looking and deciding, I went with the kits from Retro. I got 55w 5K in the highs, lows, and fogs. Let me tell you, they are AWESOME!!!!! I have had lots of aftermarket lights and these are the best quality I have ever had. They are expensive, but I believe they have a lifetime guarantee which is something, that no other companies are offering (that I know of) I had to get a harness for each set which was kinda a bummer for the fog lights, because I was hoping for a plug and play kit. Here are some websites that I used to compare different colors and opinions. I did not want blue lights, that’s why I went with 5k and I think I made the right decisions. I have not posted pics yet, but will be soon. If you are doing the kit yourself, plan an entire day, take your time, read the directions and take the time to run the wires and especially the ground wires good and I think you will be very happy with the kit from retro.

Shoot, if I remember correctly I ordered the middle kit...I know I didn't order the cheapest kit. So it was the middle or the expensive kit. I'll see if I can find my invoice and see if it states it, if so I'll let you know.

I got the digital and they were about $160 a set I think. Hit JJ up and he will give you a quote with his discount. I went with the expensive ones, because I dont ever want to have to take my truck apart again to replace a ballast or light.
